"I think it was the first time
he'd shaved his beard in something like 20 years. The next day
he started growing it again. He's famously bearded, and he said,
'Shall I shave my beard for this scene?' I said, 'Gosh, I guess
so. I have no idea what you look like.'"

Cameos
Jerry has made
cameo appearances in two of the Muppet movies.
The Great Muppet Caper
Jerry was the
man walking past Kermit in the park. He was accompanied by his
daughter, Christine Nelson.
|
|
Christine: "Look,
Dad! There's a bear!"
Jerry: "No,
Christine, that's a frog. Bears wear hats."

|
Muppet Treasure Island
Jerry was Squire
Trelawney's butler. He greets Jim Hawkins, Gonzo,
and Rizzo.
|
|
Jerry: "May
I help you?"
Jim: "Yes. Thank
you. We wish to speak with Squire Trelawney, the shipbuilder. We
need a ship."
Jerry: "Ah,
I'm sorry, the squire is in Long Neddry for the grouse season. He
will return on the feast of St. Lulu."
Jim: "Thank
you."
Jerry: "Of
course, his rich, half-wit son, young Squire Trelawney is here..."
Jim: "We'll
see him, then!"
