like a freaky mutual friend once called us Fame *snort* she dared slash
us, yeah, that was a barrel of laughs! *still recalls the shuddering near
barfing aftermath* I love Farah, as the best co-writer
(and occasional supporting friend, occasional) a gal can ever yearn to
have, but if I ever am going to be slashed with a chick it had to be
*shrug* heh, well, I'm still thinking that one over.

Subject, name of the story or the site is best. Several emails have been placed
unknowingly as Spam or in the Bulk due to the ambiguity of the title. And as

Hi. This is Mera. I
honestly don't know what to say. So I'm blabbing away. I'm a huge
Spike fan. I admit to gushing and squealing but I take the fifth regarding any
sort of fanatic misuse regarding the character. And Slashing is NOT a misuse
FYI. Um, I started watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer after I caught sight
of this attractive blond in a wheelchair not soon after I was jumping in
triumph when he kicked the old chair after the tall nasty forehead dude was
being mean to him, I had only seen the last five minutes, so I was intrigued to
be caught quickly with such great talent (in a beautiful yes, I said
beautiful about a guy- hunk nonetheless) and the rest is history.
I started off as a Spuffy
*raises head in pride* and it lead me to fan-fiction in which the blond lovers
united and after a while I found my eyes wandering to a pairing of two males, of
which my Spike was one *lowers head shyly and flutter lashes* I was naughty and
took a peak or two. *points finger* It's all Saber's fault! Writing all my faves in one site no
less. *whimpers that now Saber had also aided in pulling her into Clex (SV nowhere in the same universe of greatness as BtVS/AtS/Firefly) yet that is a story for another dayif she
ever completes the Spander/Clex fic she has up her sleeve* Crazy sleeve of mine, so many
things seem to stick to it. They do' wanna get off!
*whine*
Heh.
What can I say, the yumminess and the perspective of
"The How" of these two guys who hate each other intrigued me, for it presented
challenges even more than those that faced Spike and Buffy. I am a whore (I
used a bad word! Hee) for good plot, stages and
the great angst-y lengths the boys have to go through, the gradual transition
from hate, easygoingness, to love. It drew me in like the cute curious little
moth I am to the fire of that which hid in these two. I found myself falling
really deep for Spander and Spangel (the occasional other male for Spike, depending on
my moods).
As for my stint in
writing? Well, one can never say
that my mind never wanders, in the rare occasion very rare *cough* but, I was
always a shy little one. I never dared take a poke myself. It was only after
Farah pulled me out to produce our first joint fic, our baby,
Oh, and hey, I found out I can put up a site.
Nothing to brag home about to mom, so not gonna do
that, she might wanna look, but leave me be to
preen about moi not completely making a mess of
putting up a measly site, won't you?

Hi, I'm Farah.
Okay, so it took me awhile to fall for BtVS. My sister
and cousin were huge fans, I remember when they used to fight over who's hotter:
Xander (my cousin's choice) or Angel (my sister's). To make a long story short,
my cousin discovered Spander, and through her my
sister became obsessed with Spander too. I didn't know
much about the BtVS characters except for Buffy,
Xander and
I started joining slash groups since my cousin found
the new chapter of Quantum Xander in Step Away From My Xander group. After that
I joined the famous XanderSlash, Step Away From My
Xander, m-mslashaholics and many more. I met Mera in the Payless discussion community, and we became net
friends afterwards. I've always been imaginative and I had just watched season
six Buffy when an idea of a Xander/Spike friendship fic came to me. I talked to Mera
about in the Yahoo messenger:
"It's basically about Spike wanting to belong after
Buffy's death in The Gift. Spike and Xander solve their differences and become
friends, actually best friends. Angel asks Spike to come to LA for some reason,
and Spike takes Xander with him after he promised Anya not to let anything
happen to him. Xander asks Spike to be his best man which shows how their
friendship got deeper. Suddenly they were attacked by demons on the way, Xander
gets killed, the Scoobies
blame shocked Spike and abandon him. Angel eventually takes Spike under his wing
and this was the original ending of
Thankfully, Mera
encourages me to write it and to make it a Spangel.
Being very insecure about it, I asked her to be my co-writer especially that I
have no clue how to write Spangel. I remember writing
the first 13 short chapters and sending them to Mera
who was already writing chapter 14. Hmmm looking back at the beginning of
The Exchange: We did promise not to write new fics until we finished A Place to Beling, but I couldn't resist the dream I had. I had a dream
about me being in my ex' car with my ex and my sister (what the hell was she
doing with us?) who was in the back seat reading a printed Spander fic, then she asked me
whether there was a fic with Xander and Buffy
switching bodies, then I had an idea about a fic with
body switching of Buffy, Xander and Willow. As the idea started to sink in, we
fell off a bridge. Huh. I jumped in my bed, and before I brushed my teeth, I ran
to the computer, thankfully found Mera in the Yahoo
messenger and yelled (figuratively speaking): Mera!!!
We gotta write this!
Okay, this is our history, must memorize it word by
word! Hopefully our WBs work better than the other WB that should remain unnamed! Oops!
Oooh and Mera mocks me with this, but I don't care, my favorite character
is Xander, and he is soooo cuuuuuute! He's the most realistic character and I looooove that he's flawed, it makes me soooo relate to him. Are you happy, Mera? Yes, I'm a fangirl. *winks*
